Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, explains easy techniques anyone can master. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has explored Italy's cuisine and its culture and the surrounding environment. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by food and cooking at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing experience for me. I was unable to learn enough, didn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy, she developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This is a huge influence on how Burrell approaches her cuisine. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate where she promotes awareness of juvenile diabetics. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne has said throughout her professional career she is incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to share with others what is most important to her.
